Stress is a killer. It always has been and it always will be. People and animals deal with it in many different ways. And when you are an entrepreneur there are a lot more reasons for you to stress out. But there are ways for you to manage your stress in a healthy manner. This article explores such ways and will teach you some new tricks to manage stress and make a healthier you.
Stress Reduction Starts With Healthier Eating Practices
Overeating is a common way that people handle stress. It is easy to do with calories in processed foods being so high. We don’t need to eat very much for it to be considered overeating. Just eating a few handfuls of chips or a piece of cake is considered overeating because there are just so many calories in everything we eat nowadays. The calories go up way beyond what we need for what our body needs daily to maintain normal function so it is considered overeating.
So to live a less stressed existence we do not need to add more stress over a calorie count but to buy less processed foods, to begin with. The closer to natural the better and the fewer calories they will have. Schedule your meals and snacks. Prepare ahead of time so that you aren’t panicked at the last minute rushing off to fast food or a vending machine to eat your meals.
Make sure you have snacks so that you keep your metabolism up. Drink plenty of water so that you aren’t mistaking thirst for hunger. Keep gum on hand just in case you get the urge to eat something but you aren’t hungry. Sugar-free gum is the best, especially for a sweet tooth.
A lot of people do. If there’s one thing you can count on as a teen, it is acne. More than 85% of teenagers have this common skin problem. Improper food intake is common as a teenager which leads to an unhealthy lifestyle & bad skin conditions. There are chances that along with busy schedules you may have to add-on one more activity to reduce acne as teenagers. So, for better results living a healthy lifestyle is more important.
Workout The Stress
Secondly, exercise is key to reducing stress. As an entrepreneur, you have a lot of stress because they spend a lot of time doing repetitive motions and you don’t usually use all the major muscle groups. So, it is important to start an exercise routine and stick with it. Cardio is the most important group to focus on. You want to keep your heart rate elevated for at least 15 minutes. You want to try to do this 4 times a week or more.
Exercise not only reduces stress but it boosts your energy which for an entrepreneur that is always a great thing. It also increases blood circulation which can increase your sex drive and it combats health problems.
Declutter To Reduce Stress
Organizing is a great way to become stress-free. Here is a link to decluttering.Usually, if you are stressed you are holding on to way too much. Both metaphorically and literally. So it is time to start going through your things and declutter.
As an entrepreneur, you like to keep things because you never know when you might need them again or they were a gift and you don’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings, but you need to set rules and stick to them.
You can’t live your life if you are living life in a storage locker. You deserve to live in a home where you can function and invite people over you choose. Not where you have to stuff things. I usually say to myself, “Do I need it?” or, “Do I really feel like I would miss this?” If the answer is no and no then it is gone. You will feel so stress-free after decluttering.
Communication Is The Most Innate Form of Stress Release That We Turn To
Another way to combat stress is just to talk it out. when feeling stressed you can just have a chat with a close friend or family member and let them know your woes. You will be shocked how much people care and how much they can relate. Talking and communicating is a huge stress relief because as people we are social creatures. We are meant to group or pair up and interact with one another. We are meant to be in a community and not alone. So we need to be accepted by another like-minded individual who understands us.
Just having someone to tell all of our problems is huge in stress relief. Even if you don’t have someone like that or you don’t feel comfortable doing that, you can go to a therapist and unburden yourself there.
A therapist is a great place for stress relief and to let all your woes out. You can really communicate what is happening in your life and how you feel without judgment and without the fear of anyone finding out anything about you.
